 Silverlight Applications

Silverlight is a new Web presentation technology that is created to run on a variety of platforms. It enables the creation of rich, visually stunning and interactive experiences that can run everywhere: within browsers and on multiple devices and desktop operating systems (such as the Apple Macintosh). XAML (eXtensible Application Markup Language) is the foundation of the Silverlight presentation capability.

 iPhone Applications

You have heard of the iPhone phenomenon, now it's possible take advantage of the millions of iPhone users to bring more traffic to your site. An iPhone Application can be either a web application or a native application that runs directly on the iPhone.

 FaceBook Applications

One of the latest revenue models on the internet is using fun mini-applications that draw people's attention and often their wallets. These applications (games) are often hosted on major websites, such as FaceBook™, and generate revenue through advertising, pay-per-action events (such as surveys), and premium pay-per-use features (such as hidden game features). A successful social application will often offer short play-time with high repetition. Some applications include collaborative or competitive features to ensure that the activity remains social and encourages return customers.

A Web Application is distinctly different from a Website because a Website usually only displays static information, whereas a Web Application is highly interactive and dynamic. The advantages include a better user-experience and often lower development & maintenance costs for the owner.
